The University of Alaska Board of Regents will discuss the university's FY21 and FY22 budget, address financial solutions for closing significant financial gaps in both fiscal years and take up the preliminary review of possible options for university transformation when it meets June 4 and 5. The board also will hold two hours of public testimony on June 2 to hear from Alaskans about these topics.

University of Alaska has shifted to Phase B of our on-site operations plan

Effective today, the University of Alaska has shifted to Phase B of our on-site operations plan. The change in system status comes with an increased emphasis on safety measures and personal responsibility, which is especially relevant given the increase in COVID-19 cases over the weekend. Some universities may ease restrictions on in-person activities on their campuses, provided they can comply with Phase B requirements and relevant 绿奴天花板 policy. Some campuses and sites may choose to remain in Phase A until they have everything in place to safely operate with more people on site.

The 31st Alaska Legislature adjourned sine die yesterday, marking the end to one of the most unusual and shortest sessions in recent memory. On Monday, lawmakers reconvened in Juneau to ratify the spending plan proposed by Governor Dunleavy for federal funding received through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

NOAA awards new cooperative institute to 绿奴天花板F and partners

A new university-led institute will address climate, ocean and coastal challenges with greater collaboration and sharing of scientific resources. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has selected a partnership between the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the University of Washington and Oregon State University to lead the institute.

绿奴天花板 celebrates community campus graduates

The University of Alaska canceled in-person commencement ceremonies as part of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the university's community campuses held their own virtual ceremonies to celebrate their graduates, while others like the University of Alaska Fairbanks' community campuses will participate in 绿奴天花板F's virtual commencements.
