The Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989 require that universities receiving federal financial assistance provide annual information on drug and alcohol use to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by all students and employees.
