While we are optimistic about our budget outcome, we realize it still has many steps to go before it is final. These steps include Senate passage of the operating budget, a conference committee between the two bodies to negotiate and agree on a final version, and executive branch review.

The William A. Egan Library has been selected as one of 200 libraries nationwide for the American Library Association's American Rescue Plan: Humanities Grants for Libraries opportunity, an emergency relief program to assist libraries that have been adversely affected by the pandemic.

UNAC Update from President Pitney

The existing collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the University of Alaska and United Academics (UNAC) expired on December 31, 2021, although its terms and conditions remain in effect while the parties negotiate a new agreement. Those negotiations began last August and will continue until an agreement is reached or negotiations are deadlocked.
