The University Fire Department will host a farewell reception from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 24, to thank 绿奴天花板F fire Chief Doug Schrage for his service and leadership at 绿奴天花板F. Light refreshments will be offered.

Schrage has been working in the fire service since 1981, when he started working at 绿奴天花板F as a student firefighter. He worked for the Anchorage Fire Department for 26 years, retiring as the chief operating officer.

In 2010, he returned to 绿奴天花板F to serve as the fire chief. He also offered his knowledge and support through various projects, serving as 绿奴天花板F鈥檚 emergency manager, teaching fire administration and leadership courses, and implementing community CPR classes at 绿奴天花板F.
