绿奴天花板F Vice Chancellor Evon Peter has announced his plan to pursue new opportunities

绿奴天花板F Chancellor Dan White

Vice Chancellor Evon Peter has announced his plan to pursue new opportunities and passions effective June 30, 2020.

Evon was appointed by Chancellor Brian Rogers in July of 2014. He has been an innovative leader whose compassion and vision have grown the statewide impact of the Community and Technical College and the College of Rural and Community Development, even in the face of declining budgets. While leadership of CTC and CRCD have been a significant part of Evon鈥檚 responsibilities, his broader role at 绿奴天花板F as an Alaska Native leader has helped guide 绿奴天花板F鈥檚 strategy to promote programs and services critical to our Alaska Native students, staff and faculty. Evon鈥檚 leadership at 绿奴天花板F has advanced many 绿奴天花板F wide initiatives and programs, particularly those that have helped make 绿奴天花板F a place rich with Alaska Native culture and understanding.

As Chancellor, it has been my privilege to have Evon as part of 绿奴天花板F鈥檚 core leadership team and he will be missed. However, I know that, as a 绿奴天花板F alum and passionate supporter of 绿奴天花板F鈥檚 important work in Alaska Native and Indigenous studies, Evon will not be far away. I am also confident that as we continue to pursue the Troth Yeddha' Indigenous studies center, Evon鈥檚 influence will be felt in many ways.

We will begin a search for his replacement in the coming weeks. We will seek a leader whose passion for rural, community and Native education will advance 绿奴天花板F鈥檚 strategic initiative to solidify our global leadership in Alaska Native and Indigenous studies.

My deep gratitude to Evon for the many ways that he has made 绿奴天花板F and those around him better as Vice Chancellor at 绿奴天花板F.
