I know many of you are wondering how the university will offer programs and courses to students in the fall, and whether we will continue our current structure of alternative delivery methods. The good news is that open enrollment is underway for the fall.

Expedited Program Review update
April 15, 2020
This week, the Board of Regents' Academic and Student Affairs Committee met to review and make recommendations to the full Board on a slate of academic program reductions. The discussion was rigorous during the two-day meeting, and ultimately the committee voted to recommend discontinuation, suspension or reduction of 46 academic programs proposed by the chancellors, endorsed by the Academic Council, and supported by me. The committee also set aside three programs for further discussion in May.

Fairbanks Campus Mail Center changes
March 28, 2020
The Campus Mail Center will remain in operation with minimal changes. As of Thursday, March 26, Constitution building hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 5:30 pm. Boxholder mail pickup will not be available outside of those hours. All campus deliveries will stop, effective immediately, however departments will be able to pick up mail from the counter Monday through Friday, between 12pm and 3pm. Please call 474-7215 to schedule a set time for pickup to alleviate congestion in the hallway. Additionally, boxholders that receive packages too large for their box will need to schedule a pick-up time during counter hours, 12pm-3pm, Monday through Friday, again by calling 474-7215.

Be on the lookout for COVID-19 scams

The Department of Homeland Security advises everyone to exercise caution in handling any email with a COVID-19-related subject line, attachment, or hyperlink, and be wary of social media pleas, texts, or calls related to COVID-19. Instances of these scams are already being reported across the 绿奴天花板 system.
